What are "you" people scared about trying these people in civilian court. One, it is open, two, we were lied to get into two wars and I am tired of secrets and lies, and three, as an U.S. citizen, black Army vet, excuse me if I just do not always trust the government. I want an open court for these men, with all the protections of the US court system, so I am satisfied that we got the right people. W/o an open civilian court, I am afraid we will never know the full story.
Being scared is what allowed those passengers to let slightly armed men crash planes into buildings. Which brings me to another point. Conservatives are always bashing unions, but it was unionized safety forces who ran into those burning buildings, who started employer health care coverage, 40 hour work week, paid time off, etc...
Finally some bloggers, mainly a silly one name sister something speculation about the motivations of having a civilian trial is just plain silly and illogical, beyond any kind of common sense. AG Holder decision, not Obama's, has less to do with getting back at Bush. The American people are not that naive. We know that Bush and his people committed many shenanigans. We do not need a trial to prove that. We want the truth. That is all. The full truth.
